Rockferry is the debut studio album by Welsh singer Duffy, first released on March 3, 2008 by Mercury Records in the US and Polydor Records in the UK. Prior to releasing the album, Duffy appeared twice on Jools Holland’s music show, performing the tracks “Mercy“, “Warwick Avenue” and her version of “The First Cut Is the Deepest”.
The album title Rockferry, according to Duffy, is loosely based on Rock Ferry, a suburb of Birkenhead, on the Wirral Peninsula and approximately 10 miles from the Welsh border and 3 miles from Liverpool.

Circus
Circus is the sixth studio album from American pop singer Britney Spears. The album was announced by Jive Records on September 15, 2008, and is set for release in the United States on December 2, 2008, which is Spears’s 27th birthday. In the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia it will be released prior to that date.
The first single, “Womanizer”, became Spears’s first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since her debut “…Baby One More Time”, almost 10 years prior. The second single will be the title track “Circus”, it was announced the same day as the track listing on October 31, 2008.

808s & Heartbreak
808s & Heartbreak is the upcoming fourth studio album by American hip hop artist Kanye West. The album is scheduled to be released on November 24, 2008. West announced on his blog that he has finished the album. It was originally announced for a December 16 release, but Island Def Jam brought the date forward three weeks to capitalize on Thanksgiving weekend. A special Christmas packaging of the album will be released on December 16 and will feature album artwork redone by Kaws.
The entire album is sung by West with the aid of Auto-Tune, aside from one verse by Young Jeezy, a duet with Lil Wayne, additional vocals by Kid Cudi and a freestyle by West at the conclusion of the record. West has stated that he loves using Auto-Tune and is dismayed that the term has been commonly associated with being “wack.” He considers the technology “the funnest thing to use.” West compared the situation to when he was a child and thought the color pink was cool until someone told him “it was gay.” He went on to state how the views of society can rob people of their confidence and self-esteem.

igh School Musical 3: Senior Year is the soundtrack album for the Walt Disney Pictures film of the same name. It was released on October 21, 2008 in the United States.
The album sold 297,000 copies in the first week of sales on United States, debuting in #2 on Billboard 200, losing the top to AC/DC’s Black Ice. As of the second week, the album sold over 450,000 copies in the U.S. and over 754,000 copies worldwide. In Australia, the soundtrack was accredited Gold on 6 November (within the first week of its release). In Brazil, the album sold more than 60,000 in pre-orders alone and was certified Platinum before the official release.

Right To Dream
Mariah Carey co-wrote “Right To Dream” with Willie Nelson and performed it with Nelson’s harmonica player, Mickey Raphael, for the movie’s soundtrack.
“Right To Dream,” Mariah’s original ballad co-written with Willie Nelson for the film Tennessee, went for adds at Adult Contemporary (AC) radio on Monday, October 20, 2008.
“Right To Dream” is now available for digital download at iTunes Canada. The song is set for digital release in the U.S. on November 25, and can be downloaded from iTunes and Amazon.
