Mariah suprise wedding and Bye Bye ..!!

Posted on the May 14th, 2008 under Charts, Music, Music Video by alex

Mariah Carey really did get married to Nick Cannon in the Bahamas last week — and they have the tattoos to prove it.

The 38-year-old singer and the 27-year-old actor confirmed to People magazine that they tied the knot at Carey’s Bahamian estate April 30 after a courtship that began in late March.

In an interview from the magazine’s May 19 issue, Cannon said they clicked instantly when Carey cast him as a lover in the video for her new single, “Bye Bye.”

“From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected,” Cannon said. “We had so much in common spiritually, and we laugh at the same things. I didn’t have to put on my Mac Daddy suave mode. I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.”

They began a whirlwind romance, and raised eyebrows when Carey was seen sporting a huge diamond ring on her finger at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her movie “Tennessee,” in which she plays a waitress. Carey said she told “only about four people” about the wedding.

Were Carey’s friends surprised?

American Idol Top 3 Finalist (Season 7)

Posted on the May 13th, 2008 under American Idol, TV Show/Series by alex

Last week’s theme was “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”. David Archuleta performed “Love Me Tender” and “Stand by Me” which the judges thinks that’s the best performance of the night. David Cook performed “Baba O’Riley” and “Hungry Like The Wolf”. Shesha performed “A Change Is Gonna Come” and “Proud Mary”. Jason Castro[pic above] performed “Mr Tambourine Man” and “I Shot The Sheriff” and the judges thinks that Jason must go home due to the weak performance and not to mention he forgot the lyric for the song “Mr. Tambourine Man”.

It’s come to David Archuleta, David Cook and Syesha Mercado [pic from left to right]. Who moves forward and who will leave this week? Check back this Thursday to see the result.

Iron Man

Posted on the May 13th, 2008 under Movie by alex

Well, i watched Iron Man last week and this is a GREAT movie. In very much the same vein as “Batman Begins”, what this film does is show us the origins on Iron Man and how he came to be. If you were expecting in-your-face, non-stop action frenzy like last year’s “Transformers”, this movie will disappoint you just a wee bit. In fact, most of the action in the film is already shown in the theatrical trailer, which you’ve probably seen half a dozen times. Below are the synopsis about the movie:

Also Known As:
Iron Man (Marvel)
Ironman

Genres: Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/Fantasy and Adaptation

Distributors:
Paramount Pictures

U.S. Box Office: $102,118,668

STARRING Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Shaun Toub, Leslie Bibb, and Gwyneth Paltrow
